Filming for Ford in Seattle

A lot of people will say that being an Actor is tough. The rejection, the uncertainty, the constant chasing for affection... do they like me?? Will I get chosen?? Blah....

In life we all have our paths to choose and when it comes to me and Acting, I can only say that I love it. I love the creativity, fun, and "uncertainty" of it all. I get to play. I get to be. I get to do. In my acting career I have been blessed with quite a few opportunities. Some may be judged as bigger or better than others, some less or more important. Each time I have been able to act, be, do, play I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am always grateful to get to do my thing.

This time, however was one of the best so far.....

I had gotten hired for a Ford commercial and this commercial required I travel to Seattle, Washington. So not only did I get to experience the professional joy of being on a shoot, I got to experience the personal joy of travel. The entire experience was magical. I was so excited I barely slept the entire time I was out there! Seattle was beautiful and every person I got to work with was fun and cool. Some of the people I met I consider life long friends. Below, I have included a some pictures and if you would like to see the final product, please go to http://youtu.be/OCc58TfsYyk

Airport chillin'... waiting to board.
Yeah! It's go time. Alaska Airlines was great.
First views on way to hotel

My room! Modern decor, bright colors, and a fur throw! I'm home. ;)
Did I mention the views!! I loved looking out my hotel room window. This is view 1.
View 2 from hotel room window... I love that the cloud looks like a heart.
View 3. Every time I came in or out of the room i made sure to appreciate the views. <3

Stoked! Now time to head out to eat with the group.
So lovely

Fellow actor and now my friend Sha-hid.
The group shot :D
I had to take another solo.. ;)
Lovely views, can you believe by this time it's almost 10 at night?
I was marveling at the fact the sun hadn't gone down yet...
Dinner was so good! We had to have seafood. I tried the freshest oysters EVER!
Then before the sun, I had to report to set! Yummy catered breakfast and wardrobe. Yes please!
In the wardrobe trailer. I didn't keep the glasses for the shoot because my "boyfriend" wore glasses.
So much art. These trees had knitted sweaters! How cool!
Live music was a joy.
Art was everywhere. Loved it.
Yay it was my turn to shoot. Here's a live set shot.
Inside our car...
Then before you know it, it was time to leave. Bright and early our chariot awaited us and took us to the airport.
Peace from the plane!
Thanks for coming with me to Seattle, Washington. I hope you liked the lovely views. It was a real joy to experience this. I am looking forward to more of the same. If you are an Actor, shoot if you are a person, we can all look to the difficult things but I encourage you to look to the light. The best awaits us there no matter what industry we happen to work in. Cheers to the best life has to offer us.

Tee-riffic: International Baby!

Goodness gracious I am feeling so blessed, so happy, so excited. Life is good and God is GREAT! So many of my dreams are coming true and I am just over the moon about it all. For some time but especially this year I have been dreaming about travel. I have been blessed with quite a bit throughout the United States. I've been to some places in Mexico and got my 1st and only passport stamp to date when I went to the Bahamas but my visions have been set on going International.

Next week is my birthday and I have gotten the loveliest gift. I have been booked to DJ in Malaysia!!! I will literally be DJing the night before my birthday and I can't help but feel that this is such a special gift. No need to worry, all of you are invited. I'll take you in my heart and be sure to capture as much of the goodness as I can to share with you. I am so intrigued with all of it. Everything about this trip will be new to me, I've never been on a flight that long, my lay over is in Hong Kong, the food, the currency, the sights, the sounds, I can't wait to drink it all in! Just thinking about it fills me up with giddy and I don't take off until Monday!

There was a time in my life when having a car seemed big, let along thinking about planes and passports and the world beyond L.A. As a very young mommy there were so many times I felt on the sidelines, many times I sacrificed for my family. Sometimes things are tough that's true but if there is something you dream about, keep going! Believe, always believe because you can and will do it. Open yourself up to the magic and blessings all around you. I promise you that there is a big heaping bunch of goodness with your name on it. So keep on reaching for it. I'm right here, cheering you on!

I would like to thank Johnnie Walker Malaysia for this opportunity. This Black Circuit event is going to be amazing! Find out more about it HERE. Below is my shout out to Malaysia.

Letting It Go and Letting It In

Last time I wrote I was going through the depths of it. Questioning everything. Myself, my decisions, my path in life, my values and the things I hold dear, it was TERRIBLE. Since then I have prayed. I have sought council from my dearest, (husband, friends, family.) Slowly, the doubts fear and anguish started lifting away... Then I was gifted with this past weekend.

This past weekend, I went to Santa Barbara for a friend's wedding. The experience was a gift to me from God. It seemed as though everywhere I turned I was delivered either a sign of the path I am on or a reminder/encouragement for where I am going. Here is what I mean...

1. Hubby took forever to RSVP (it was his friend getting married) and I didn't think we were going to go but then not only did he pull the trigger but he had the idea for us to rent a room and enjoy the weekend.

2.Although we had been to S.B many times, it just so happened our usual Days Inn was not available leaving us to enjoy a new piece of town we were not familiar with. :)

3. This new Days Inn was nicer and larger than where we normally stay.

4. It "just so happened" that there was a lovely market like a privately owned smaller Trader Joe's filled with inexpensive healthy foods & drink right across the street. :D

Then we got to the wedding....

1. We arrived late along with another couple that "just so happened" to be friends of ours which was an unexpected delight.

2. After a short and gorgeous ceremony, we walked over to where the reception was to be held where we were greeted with a wonderfully talented group of musicians playing Brazilian music. The very next song they played upon our entering? My favorite, "Agua de Beber". :D

3. As we entered the main area and found our table, it just so happened a new band was playing another one of my favorite songs that has been very poignant for me these days "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" by Sting. We were also seated with the greatest company. A motivational speaker and his wife, our friends that I referenced earlier, and a powerful man in TV who is the spitting image of President Barack Obama. :)

4. As the night progressed, there was love filled speeches, praise, dancing, delicious foods, drinks, wonderful music, and FUN. It had been a long time since I'd had some fun.

There were other gifts blessings miracles,

5. Our friends fiancee had come to me later in the evening and said to me, "as an Artist, you can't give up. You must keep going. It may seem tough but everyone who is mainstream today started out not being well known. We each have gifts and you have to share yours with the world." She had no reason to tell me this. I had never met her before and did not mention anywhere in my conversation with her what I had been feeling in my heart the days before this outing. How on earth could she have known that I was contemplating quitting? *Gift

6. When we pulled up to this beautiful venue I found out it was valet parking only much to my dismay. I like to have quick access to my car and wasn't sure if I would need my coat later on. One thing I DID notice however was that in the front of the venue there were nothing but luxury cars and I made a comment to my husband about how THAT is the company I love to be in. ;) It just so happened as we left the wedding after a delicious stroll in the full moon light I came to find my car amidst all it's luxurious friends. :D

Can you believe that even on the way home there was very limited traffic and I had cars just move out of my way on more than three occasions? If you live or are aware of Los Angeles 101 traffic you will understand what a true miracle this is indeed. :D

I'm here to tell you that I believe in miracles and I think they happen every day. I believe that gifts and blessings swirl all around and are available to all of us. The days before this outing I felt broken, heavy, and lost. These things and feelings happen. But if we look around us and believe. All the things that make us happy and the people that make us feel strong are there too and they're just waiting to be given a chance to lift us up.

"There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle."
- Albert Einstein

Wishing you an abundance of miracles. Love to you,
Tee

WASHINGTON!! Part 2

Relaxed, happiness, dazed, dreamlike, focused, excited, nervous. I can't help but think about my guys too. I miss them so much and keep seeing things that remind me of them. :*(

The transfer in Vegas was awesome. I sat down at my favorite slot machine and won $250.00 on one pull!! I got up with almost 300 in winnings off of $20!! Yeah HOO that's what I'm talkin' about!

Having never been to Washington, I'm super excited to see what it's like. I hope I'll be warm enough with my Cali layers. Trying to build a warm AND coordinated outfit was a challenge. I don't even own anything waterproof!   :O  I should be landing in a little bit and just look at what I've seen outside of my window.. Don't the clouds look frozen?

Even the side of the plane feels cool! LOL

Once I landed, I was met by the nicest people and whisked away to get something to eat then off to wardrobe, makeup, and set to shoot!

After, I was taken to The Davenport Hotel which turned out to be a real treat!! Turns out the Davenport is a landmark and the place responsible for putting Spokane on the map! They had great service and lovely rooms. What do you think?

Spokane itself is really lovely..

& just like that it's time to head back home!

Yay Washington!! I can't wait to go back.. Cheers to more travel adventures in acting! :D

Washington, TOMORROW!!

So stoked I get to fly out tomorrow for a commercial shoot. It'll be my first time to Washington, they've been having snow, and it's for an acting job. TRIPLE BONUS!! :D

Hopefully I'll be ok with the weather. I don't even have snow gear so I plan on wearing tons of layers. Oh geez, I'll be like Ralphie's little brother from A Christmas Story unable to put my hands down! LOL I plan on taking tons of pics and sharing it so we can all experience Washington. Who knows? I may blog from there!

No seriously, I don't know how much time I'll be spending online as it's a quick trip with busy days and a whole lotta new I can't wait to soak in. I will probably Tweet though so check out my Twitter page and no matter WHAT you do, come on back and visit me ya hear?

Love and parkas... Tee

Let's get out of here!! Continued.

Hello there!!!

If you read my previous blog you know I talked about getting out, exploring and the possibility of doing it no matter what your budget or time restrictions. So last week I went on an adventure and I'd like to share it with you like I promised.... Most of this will be in pictures. Away we go!!!!

The first destination was a 7 hour drive & that alone was so impressive. There were many beautiful sights but the craziest things were the weather variations.

Beautiful and strong. There was a torrential rain that had me slow to 30 mph on the freeway at points and there was a gorgeous lightning display. I wish I could've captured the lightning...

Then before you know it, our first destination! A small town called Williams were we had booked our hotel.

And some local BBQ for dinner. It was so cold out!! I was amazed knowing that while we were eating dinner and shivering (it was my fault I wanted to eat outside to enjoy the guitarist) it was hot enough for air conditioning just hours away at home.

I had already seen beautiful weather, amazing desert scenes, and a cute little town. But nothing could prepare me for.....

THE GRAND CANYON

This next picture shows the magnitude.. See the people?

The beauty of The Grand Canyon was overwhelming and humbling. I was scared at times but mostly completely in awe. I know my pictures can't capture it all, really it took a few days to comprehend. Still, I hope you're enjoying it. : )

Then as people made their way back.

The day drew to a close.....

Thank you Lord for the beauty you have made. Truly I felt blessed to have witnessed it.

A new day a new location! Here's some beauty we stumbled upon on our drive out....

Now on to Las Vegas! I'm stoked!!!

After days of fun in Sin City, we found another cool thing on our way home. A ghost town... : O

This 5 day trip for 3 filled with good food, brand new sights (except for Las Vegas), tons of fun and inspiration, not to mention memories that will last a lifetime, cost less than $1,000!! Can you believe it!?! I really hope you enjoyed the pictures please do share your adventures with me as well. I'd love to see what's going on with you.

*For those of you that appreciate photography/technology, these photos were captured with my iPhone 3GS and edited on my Macbook using iPhoto. ; )

That's it for now! Remember how fantastic you are and that anything is possible. Blog ya later! :D
