30 Days to Greatness, THIS is Day 8.

First off, I'd like to give thanks for the glorious weekend I had. A movie on Friday night with my husband and then Saturday and Sunday we spent at gatherings that totally enriched our souls. It was really great and I am so appreciative. Do you ever get to take stock, just really let yourself review and be grateful for the goodness? I hope you do, there is so much goodness around us. Something about noticing it seems to let it know it's welcome and then it shows up more... So yeah, I'm really grateful that this weekend was so great.

Sunday was my day of rest. I did not do any workouts. I still drank a ton of water because I genuinely enjoy it now. I also had a delicious salad that my Mom had made, it was so good I did not need any dressing, and lasagna, two helpings. What??? ;)

For those of you wanting to drink more water, you can try:
Make it fun! Give yourself a cup goal and mark off each cup you drink.
Add some healthy natural flavor! Lemon wedges, lime wedges, orange wedges, or cucumber taste good! There are also added benefits to this.

As for today, I wondered if it would be hard getting back to it. After all, I had just enjoyed a day of rest and I still feel sore daily. But, I was excited to get my workout in and when my husband suggested we go to the park, I told him I sure would once I exercised. It felt good. I felt empowered at keeping my date with myself. It was totally different than any obligation I might have felt in the past and that was wonderful.

Today's P90X Lean Plan called for Cardio X. It was good. I found I took a few more water breaks than I remember taking the first time. On the flip side I hung in on the kicks a lot better than the first time. It was great. I was sweaty, heaving, and happy. In my first 30 Days to Greatness post I mention the reward I am going to give myself upon completing 2 consecutive weeks. I do not own workout gear so a nice new workout outfit is motivating to me. I have always been tomboyish at the gym. Sweats and large t shirts but I am feeling so good I just may buy something cute. There may even be a little midriff showing... If you're thinking about being fit, taking a stand for health, or just releasing extra stress regularly by working out, GO FOR IT. It feels that good.

Speak soon... <3

29 Gifts, Days 16 & 17. I didn't lie, I lagged...

Hey there, today is my 18th day on this challenge so, when I write and post that blog to the 29 Gifts community I will also post it here to get it all real time like I have been promising. I am happy to report I have been super busy so my apologies for having the back log of these two. This experience is magical and I hope you're inspired and happy at taking this journey with me. I appreciate having you and welcome you to get it on it for free if you wish. If you'd like to buy & read the book, that's here.

29 Gifts, Day 16
June 9, 2011 at 9:19pm
Today has been wonderful! I'll get right into it. My intention? "Today I give my love."

My apartment building has a cleaning lady that daily makes everything nice for all of us. She does a stellar job and always does it with a beautiful attitude. Aside from stopping to talk to her and letting her know how much her service means to me, I also gave her a scratcher (lottery ticket) as a gift. I thought it would be a fun little token with the possibility of some cash. This made me happy although I'm not done with her yet. I will see to it that all her bosses know how awesome she is. ;)

I told the waitress how lovely she is at breakfast. She was so polite, attentive, and courteous. Like a warm hug incarnate. Looking straight into her eyes and telling her how wonderful she is, I could tell she understood how much I appreciated her. I tell you, pages of communication could pass through a connected gaze.

I gave my husband the gift of fixing up his cables and putting away some items he had left out when he got and set up his new desk this week. He was so happy to receive this. I know it was a relief for him to have it done and not have to think about it.

I vacuumed and mopped my room mates bathroom and rearranged an item he has in the hallway. I don't plan on telling him unless he asks, Hopefully, he'll be able to get into his room easier.

I called my Mom because I knew she was going to see the oncologist today and even though she said she would call me and let me know, I let the "office hours" pass and once I was sure she would be out of her Dr.'s appt. I called her. This turned into a wonderful conversation. I let her do most of the talking and shared some laughs with her at the end. I also opened up a possibility for her to feel relief in regards to my Grandmother's cancer. That's in the works, but at least she knows it as a possibility.

I also screamed out a "Thank you for your service" to some firemen I saw while driving today. I love firemen and al they do.

I've gotten a lot today. I feel great, have been breezing through items, and I got an unexpected opportunity to earn some $ doing some car market research. I LOVE CARS!! I've done this once before and was able to test drive a bunch of vehicles for 2 hrs and earn some cash but this is something you don't call on, they call you. So, getting this opportunity made me happy. I hope to seal the deal tomorrow as we played phone tag today.

Cheers to another day of great giving. Love to all of you. Goodnight.

29 Gifts, Day 17
June 11, 2011 at 3:21am
2:46 am I almost forgot to post!! Today's been amazing everyone! Can't wait to let you know what unfolded.. my intention, "Today I give my all."

I woke up with a sense of purpose and quickly got ready. Heading out to one of our favorite breakfast spots, I gifted a woman with a compliment on how well she was put together. She was surprised and pleased commenting, "My goodness what a nice thing to hear first thing in the morning." I told her to stay exactly as she was all day cause she looked BANGIN'! That gave me and her much joy. I also gifted a "bus girl" (she clears plates and helps with drinks but isn't a waitress) named Griselda a scratcher (lottery ticket) and wished her a happy Friday. She is always so nice and does her job so well. I hope she won something.. :)

I shared a laugh & short convo with an artist on the street. There was a mutual benefit to this. Smiling & laughter are magical.

I went straight to a business meeting for the charity I now work with regularly and happily showed them what I've done so far to set up their web presence and marketing. I ran the meeting, met new people, and informed them of some revenue generating ideas I have. They loved it and I was happy to do it. What I got from this was a sense of accomplishment, pride, and confidence in this area. I also got a chance at passive income from setting up their credit card processing. It will be nominal but that is still a blessing to me and I am grateful.

I came home briefly and rushed out to a DJ gig where I gave my all by going beyond the scope of what was initially discussed. Not only did I earn good money, I felt great, and got a lot of compliments and thank yous. I also had fun.

The last 3 ways I gave my all were responding with a thank you when my son sent me a scathing email, calling my brother to show support for some crazy news he just received, and writing this blog right now to be honest. I've had a gloriously long day and am tired.

But there has been so much magic friends.. like I said earlier I made money twice today. I have the focus group opportunity pending, I also got a callback scheduled this weekend and I booked an Orbit commercial!!!!

Prosperous abundant wishes to all of you. Big love!

29 Gifts, Days 10-12

Hello lovies! Here are days 10-12 of this life changing 29 day challenge I am on. Tomorrow will be the last long post because we'll be all caught up and then you'll be with me real time. YAY! I am doing this from my car as I await my scheduled time to come up for a callback audition and my Macbook battery is about to die so forgive the lack of links to the other 29 Gifts posts and 29 Gifts community. If you are new to this and inspired please read along my blog and you will see that info in my other blogs. Ok, love and light to you. Have an empowered blessed day!! xo

29 Gifts, Day 10. Double digits!!June 4, 2011 at 12:07am

Another great day. I noticed there have been a couple days I have not had an intention outside of the intention to give. Not sure how I feel about that. I do prefer when I have a clear cut intention but I am still grateful to be thinking of giving regularly and so I chalk it all up to goodness. Today I gave the following....

A surprise visit to one of my best friends. It was great to show up and chat for a while.
My thoughts, prayers, and suggestions for a girlfriend I referenced in an earlier post who has been going through serious struggles lately. This felt so good as she appeared to be affected positively by this and it felt good to show her I care.
I treated my husband to breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants.

& then there was the greatest give, the one I'm MOST excited about. The merging of my blogs and letting my people know about this community, experience, and movement here at 29 Gifts. My intention with this is to facilitate people getting into the giving spirit as I know it is a life changer and so many can benefit from this beautiful thing. The possibility of my friends and followers enlightenment, along with the growth of the 29 Gifts community and movement are just beautiful tips of the iceberg! Let alone the amazing ripple effect of things I can't even think of or imagine. Mbali and Cami started an amazing thing and if I can pass it on I'm happy to do so! I pray for goodness to rain down on all of us. :)

As for what I got? Happiness, strength, confidence, peace, excitement, purpose, energy, and feelings of love. Another audition on Monday, a bag my husband got for me while at an event today, & a brand new subscriber at my original blog. Yay!

29 Gifts, Day 11June 4, 2011 at 11:53pm

Today my giftly intention surrounded my family. Both of these gifts were premeditated. One for my son and the other for my husband.

Hubby has a big birthday coming up and his wish is to have a big party so I gave him half of the party budget. I'm so glad he accepted it. :)

The biggest one was for my son. Today is his birthday. He's 17. I wish I could say that my gift involved some great big party, family outing, shopping trip, or well wrapped goodie. Instead it was a facebook comment and a message telling him I love him along with a gift that would help him get some enlightenment and support via a free tele-seminar with some amazing spiritual teachers focused on masculinity and a message geared especially towards men. You see, my son doesn't live in my home anymore. It's been 2 months, he is my baby, and me being "o.k" with this has been HARD. Since he left we've had one phone conversation. We both expressed our love for one another but the issues that caused his departure were left untouched. Stuck between supporting detrimental behaviors and standing up for what's best for him, I chose the latter. Tough love in-deed. Now with his birthday here, I was stuck at a crossroads. I chose giving. I chose to give my love. I would do anything for my children. Today that anything involved me reaching out, forgetting even just for a moment about the problems, my worries, and the pain I have felt. He replied "thanks Mom" with a smiley face. I can only hope my gesture gave him a glimpse of the magnitude of my eternal love for him. Perhaps this is a wonder all of us parents share in raising our kids.

Introspectively, Tee

29 Gifts, Day 12June 5, 2011 at 6:50pm

Today my gifts were just for me,
Gave myself rest to be the best I could be,
Handled some work to get a jump on the week.
Showing off midriff in a cut off tee and jeans.

Today I let my mind roam,
I played with my cat,
I didn't pass judgements or let myself detract,
I allowed the experience to be what it is,
and trusted my heart to let me receive the give.

Letting It Go and Letting It In

Last time I wrote I was going through the depths of it. Questioning everything. Myself, my decisions, my path in life, my values and the things I hold dear, it was TERRIBLE. Since then I have prayed. I have sought council from my dearest, (husband, friends, family.) Slowly, the doubts fear and anguish started lifting away... Then I was gifted with this past weekend.

This past weekend, I went to Santa Barbara for a friend's wedding. The experience was a gift to me from God. It seemed as though everywhere I turned I was delivered either a sign of the path I am on or a reminder/encouragement for where I am going. Here is what I mean...

1. Hubby took forever to RSVP (it was his friend getting married) and I didn't think we were going to go but then not only did he pull the trigger but he had the idea for us to rent a room and enjoy the weekend.

2.Although we had been to S.B many times, it just so happened our usual Days Inn was not available leaving us to enjoy a new piece of town we were not familiar with. :)

3. This new Days Inn was nicer and larger than where we normally stay.

4. It "just so happened" that there was a lovely market like a privately owned smaller Trader Joe's filled with inexpensive healthy foods & drink right across the street. :D

Then we got to the wedding....

1. We arrived late along with another couple that "just so happened" to be friends of ours which was an unexpected delight.

2. After a short and gorgeous ceremony, we walked over to where the reception was to be held where we were greeted with a wonderfully talented group of musicians playing Brazilian music. The very next song they played upon our entering? My favorite, "Agua de Beber". :D

3. As we entered the main area and found our table, it just so happened a new band was playing another one of my favorite songs that has been very poignant for me these days "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" by Sting. We were also seated with the greatest company. A motivational speaker and his wife, our friends that I referenced earlier, and a powerful man in TV who is the spitting image of President Barack Obama. :)

4. As the night progressed, there was love filled speeches, praise, dancing, delicious foods, drinks, wonderful music, and FUN. It had been a long time since I'd had some fun.

There were other gifts blessings miracles,

5. Our friends fiancee had come to me later in the evening and said to me, "as an Artist, you can't give up. You must keep going. It may seem tough but everyone who is mainstream today started out not being well known. We each have gifts and you have to share yours with the world." She had no reason to tell me this. I had never met her before and did not mention anywhere in my conversation with her what I had been feeling in my heart the days before this outing. How on earth could she have known that I was contemplating quitting? *Gift

6. When we pulled up to this beautiful venue I found out it was valet parking only much to my dismay. I like to have quick access to my car and wasn't sure if I would need my coat later on. One thing I DID notice however was that in the front of the venue there were nothing but luxury cars and I made a comment to my husband about how THAT is the company I love to be in. ;) It just so happened as we left the wedding after a delicious stroll in the full moon light I came to find my car amidst all it's luxurious friends. :D

Can you believe that even on the way home there was very limited traffic and I had cars just move out of my way on more than three occasions? If you live or are aware of Los Angeles 101 traffic you will understand what a true miracle this is indeed. :D

I'm here to tell you that I believe in miracles and I think they happen every day. I believe that gifts and blessings swirl all around and are available to all of us. The days before this outing I felt broken, heavy, and lost. These things and feelings happen. But if we look around us and believe. All the things that make us happy and the people that make us feel strong are there too and they're just waiting to be given a chance to lift us up.

"There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle."
- Albert Einstein

Wishing you an abundance of miracles. Love to you,
Tee

The Extraordinary & Ordinary Intertwined

This weekend I was in and out of consciousness. My cold had me relegated to my home (mostly my bed.) Not by force (thank goodness) it was my choice. What can I say?! I tend to highly value maximum health. Amidst the sea of dreams, I experienced many firsts:

*I put my needs first & turned down a family invitation because it didn't feel right.

*I created the most luxurious spa experience in my bathroom complete with candles, lavender bath salts, extremely hot water, & a private showing of Eat Pray Love. Thanks to Netflix & my MacBook.

*I made the decision to, & began learning Italian.

*I claimed my space without guilt once & for all & now refuse to let my cats sleep with me in my bedroom anymore.

*I let my faith guide me through yet another extremely big change in my life. A person I love very much and have dedicated a good portion of my life to is no longer in my regular picture. Their departure from my every day has been surreal yet serves as another sign of what I "knew" the moment the clock marked 12am on New Year's Day 2011. I'm stepping into a whole new life.

The more I allow it the more I see the beauty of the extraordinary & the ordinary intertwined. It is beautiful, succinct, delicious. It is gorgeously intimate. I feel I am becoming a better person. This excites me. I've never experienced peace like this before, faith like this before, it is amazing.

I guess you could say cold and all, my weekend was great. Somehow 85% of the time spent in my room connected me even more to myself, the world, and you. Extraordinary & ordinary, indeed.

Today I Step In To My Newest Title, Philanthropist.

It's sunny outside, the weather is warm, I am energized, refreshed, grateful, excited. This is after over a week of gloom and rain, metaphorically speaking it couldn't be more perfect. This week has brought about a massive amount of change. Consolidated. In your face. The kind of change that even someone like me who loves change, has to pep talk her way through it. Truthfully speaking, like all extremely hard things in my life, God got me through. I've experienced extreme lows and highs. Outpouring of support from fans, friends, and family. I will never be the same.

Amidst this process I have been enlightened to dreams I didn't know I had, to possibilities I hadn't seen before. To things that are now my new life's path. I am alive.

The first section of my life was about survival. The second section about me finding and expressing myself through the arts and my talents. This new phase is about the world.

Listen, I'm not out of the woods yet. I've had major unexpected financial things come up, (a move, parking tickets, ding in my windshield, medical & vet expenses, people I trusted and thought were on my team try to take advantage of me) some of these are still pending.. Sometimes I get scared and it hurts but I've also been extremely blessed. To be honest the only reason I am mentioning this to begin with is because I want you to know I'm a real person. A human being, making my way through this world, trying to be the best I can. Any hints of greatness come from something much higher than me, I call it God.

Please know I am not here to blog about religion, I am not religious. I am simply sharing with you this amazing wonderful metamorphosis I have experienced and the joy I have to be able to step into it TODAY. I dream of being a millionaire on the "Secret Millionaire" show. Until that day comes I will take cues from my mentors Oprah, Neale Donald Walsch, Rhonda Byrne, Robert & Kim Kiyosaki, God... and I will go out and make it happen. It started with making more donations and tonight/tomorrow night I start in deed.

If you are reading this right now, have connected with me at any of the social networks I use, thank you. I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate you. I really do carry you in my heart. This is my longest and my second most personal blog to date. I hope to continue to interest you. May you have a blessed and productive day. You are amazing.

Cheers to all of us, living out our dreams.
